Hi, I’m Alex! The cake designer, creator and Otto’s human.

I’ve been baking longer than I can remember (I got it from my mum), and I single handedly made my first batch of afghans at seven years old. Since then, I’ve become the designated baker of the friend group — birthdays, baby showers, random Tuesday nights… if there’s an excuse to bake I’m there.

As a mum of two, I’ve produced my fair share of Minion, Frozen and Rainbow cakes (occupational hazard). These days, though, I specialise in luxe, elevated, minimal cake design, clean lines, natural textures, and the kind of details that make a celebration feel truly special.

Around here, we believe food should be shared, savoured, and part of the moments that matter. Milestones deserve to be celebrated, and your cake should feel just as special as the occasion itself.

I design. Otto supervises (from a safe distance). Together, we make cakes worth celebrating.

Welcome to Otto & Cake. I’m so glad you’re here.

Hi, I’m Otto! The “Otto” in Otto & Cake.

I’m officially banished from the kitchen. Unfair, if you ask me. Apparently licking the cutlery in the dishwasher is unhygienic.

When I’m not supervising cake creations (from a legally-mandated distance), you’ll find me doing my core hobbies:

  • barking at strangers until they love me,

  • judging your life choices

  • and providing emotional support whether you asked for it or not.

I’m clingy, loyal and incredibly handsome.

If you ever hear barking during pick-ups… yeah, that’s me welcoming you.

I don’t bake, but I do believe in good food, long naps, and being adored at all times, values I bring proudly to the Otto & Cake team.
